INVEGA® for the treatment of schizophrenia

What is INVEGA®?

INVEGA® is a type of medication called an atypical antipsychotic that has been shown to treat the symptoms of schizophrenia in adults and adolescents.

How does INVEGA® treat schizophrenia?

In studies of more than 1600 adults with schizophrenia, INVEGA® was shown to effectively reduce the positive and negative symptoms associated with the disorder. In a long-term study of more than 200 adults with schizophrenia, INVEGA® was shown to effectively delay time to relapse.

The most common side effects that occurred during INVEGA® clinical trials in the treatment of schizophrenia in adults were: abnormal muscle movements (including tremor [shaking], shuffling, uncontrolled involuntary movements, and abnormal movements of the eyes) and fast heartbeat.

When will my symptoms begin to improve?

Each person responds to medicine differently. Follow your doctor's directions on how to take your medication, and be sure to talk to him or her if you do not think you are getting better. He or she may adjust your medication.
